Pay: $22.00 to $26.00 per hour
Type: Contract to hire
Schedule: M-F, arrival time between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM
Standard business hours with increased workload around payroll deadlines and year-end
Job description:
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll for both hourly and salaried staff.
- Review and audit timekeeping records, pay rates, overtime, bonuses, garnishments, taxes, benefits, and other deductions to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain employee payroll data, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and deductions, while reconciling payroll reports and resolving discrepancies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related inquiries, providing timely support to employees and collaborating with HR, Finance, and Benefits teams to ensure data integrity.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, support payroll audits, reporting requirements, and year-end processes including W-2 reconciliation and distribution.

Required:
- Must have (3)+ years of hands on payroll processing
- Must have strong knowledge of payroll
- Must be MS Excel proficient to analyze reports
- High school diploma or equivalent
