HR Assistant

About the Company:  Growing Lifestyle Company in South Orlando seeks a Bilingual HR Assistant to join their team. 

Type: Contract-to-Hire or Direct Hire

Pay: Depending on experience; includes full benefits package

Job Description:

  • Maintains electronic personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in timely fashion.
  • Maintains listing of approved positions along with assigned salary grade levels.
  • Processes personnel action forms and ensures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms.
  • Prepares new-hire paperwork. Including maintaining I-9 records.
  • Assists in hiring process by coordinating job posting on the website, reviewing resumes, and performing telephone interviews and reference checks.
  • Maintains the employee handbook with updated resolutions and other pertinent information, as needed. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE:

  • HS Diploma
  • Associates or Bachelor degree a plus
  • Human Resource professional certifications (SHRM or PHR) a huge plus
  • 1-3 years of HR support or Admin experience
  • ADP payroll experience preferred but not required
  • Must be Bilingual (Spanish)
  • Manufacturing or warehouse HR experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
