Bilingual Intake Coordinator

About the Company: Well-established and stable company in Tampa is looking for an Bilingual Intake Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity with an exceptional company. The ideal candidate will have a medical background and possess excellent customer service skills.

Type: Contract – hire

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Train then 8:30 -5:30

Pay: Hourly, depending on experience  

Job Description

  • This person will work with about 400 different patients on an ongoing basis. They will take in emails and phone calls to order more supplies.
  •  About 40% of the patients speak only Spanish or both Spanish and English.
  • They will make outbound calls to clients every 30 days to make sure they need another shipment of medical supplies and set that up for their patient customers.
  • They will then call Physician Offices to renew patient prescriptions and note in the system when they should arrive to the patients home.
  • They will call the Insurance companies to fax over the authorization under Medicaid.
  • They will also at times take calls to find out where their packages is and help with tracking information. 

Requirements and Qualifications                               

  • 2 years of working experience in a customer service/office environment
  • Prefer bilingual – both Spanish and English
  • MS Office proficient- Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Effectively communicates using proper grammar and punctuation written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including use of proper grammar and punctuation 
  • Technology adept including Browser and Computer savvy and the use of various office equipment  
  • Presents in a polite, polished, and professional manner upon dealing with customers and co-workers
