Business Development Manager (Software Sales)

About the Company: Global Software Provider is currently seeking a Business Development Manager in Tampa, FL. This person will be responsible for creating new business and growing current business relationships. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of inside/outside SaaS sales experience preferably in the hospitality or software field.

Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $45,000 base, plus commission 

Job Description: 

Prospecting and Closing: 70%

  • Drive new business growth by selling solutions to hospitality clients
  • Actively target prospective business via inbound and outbound call leads
  • Propose solutions to deliver and maintain an ongoing business relationship

Internal Communications and Documentation: 15% 

  • Ongoing documentation of prospects, contacts and accounts into Salesforce database
  • Communicates with internal team to prepare for new business
  • Weekly sales information meeting

Research and Product Knowledge: 15% 

  • Monitor prospect companies for potential changes
  • Continuously develop personal knowledge of products
  • Maintain full knowledge of industry trends


  • 2+ years of Inside Sales/Outside experience
  • Software sales experience required
  • Restaurant or hospitality industry experience strongly preferred
