Administrative Assistant (Orthotics & Prosthetics)

About the Company: Well-established non-profit organization is seeking an Administrative Assistant in their corporate headquarters in Tampa, FL. This person will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Orthotics & Prosthetics  Department. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as a Medical Secretary or Admin in a healthcare setting. 

Type: Contract to Hire

Pay: $17.50

Job Description: 

  • Provide administrative/secretarial support to the O&P Department and Central Fabrication
  • Serve as the suite receptionist to greet and route all guests
  • Perform general office functions including routing incoming calls, mail distribution, project tracking, presentation design, etc
  • Formatting of meeting agendas and meeting minutes
  • Coordinate appointments/schedules and make extensive travel arrangements 
  • Maintain confidential records involving salary, performance and appraisal information
  • Prepare a variety of documents to include purchase orders for equipment/supplies, check requests, office supply orders, letters of transmittal, and shipping air bills


  • Associates Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of Administrative or Medical Secretarial experience 
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Ability to type 45+ wpm
  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills
