Customer Service Representative

Type: Contract to hire

Pay: $14 hr

Monday to Fri 11-8pm Some Saturdays 10am-8pm

Job Description

•    Taking calls from internally state employees around the United States with questions about their payroll
•    Responsible for creating and maintaining excellent documentation of all calls, questions, complaints and mailed inquiries
•    Responsible for maintaining adequate records/documentation for audit and internal control purposes
•    Respond to Inbound/Outbound Call Inquiries 
•    Initiate outbound calls to respond to inquiries and to follow-up with previous contacts
•    Enter and monitor support ticket information into PPL Portal
•    Perform administrative functions e.g.: pended timesheet reporting, mail distribution, document verification, document management, timesheet verification.
•    Data entry and update payroll ; accounts payable account information as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 2+ years in a call center environment as a CSR
  • Skilled in verbal and written communication with strong troubleshooting skills
  • MS Office proficient- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Effectively communicates using proper grammar and punctuation written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including use of proper grammar and punctuation 
  • Technology adept including Browser and Computer savvy and the use of various office equipment  
  • Presents in a polite, polished, and professional manner upon dealing with customers and co-workers
