Pay: Around $40,000 to $48,000 depending on similar, recent, applicable experience

Hours: M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description

  • This person maintains the inventory system to accurately reflect the daily on-hand balance and they maintain adequate quantities of merchandise in branch locations through weekly transfers.
  • Responds to various departments (Purchasing, Sales, Project Managers, Management etc.) promptly on a variety of subjects (verify counts, quality check an item, etc.).
  • Reports slow movers and overstocked items to the Purchasing Manager and recommends liquidation of discontinued, obsolete and excess inventory.
  • Determines causes of inventory variances and recommends corrective actions to Operations Manager.
  • Supplies all inventory related data and meets requirements for annual financial audit as directed by the Purchasing Manager and Finance Administrator.
  • Works with Warehouse Managers to conduct cycle counts of selected inventory items as scheduled.
  • Prepares quarterly and year end reports for the Purchasing Manager. Also works with Purchasing to research and resolve inventory variance problems as they arise

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • MS Office proficient- Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Effectively communicates using proper grammar and punctuation written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including use of proper grammar and punctuation 
  • Technology adept including Browser and Computer savvy and the use of various office equipment  
  • Presents in a polite, polished, and professional manner upon dealing with customers and co-workers
