Job Title: Accounts Payable Coordinator

About the Company:  Established company in downtown St. Petersburg seeking a qualified Accounts Payable candidate. 

Type: Contract-to-hire, 600-hour temporary period

Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Pay: Around $22.00 per hour depending on experience/$50K Maximum

 

Job Description:

  • New vendor setup including collection of proper tax forms (W-9, W-8, Form 8233)
    • Ensure invoices are in accordance with pricing and terms of executed contracts
    • Obtain proper approval for all company expenditures before processing invoices
    • Post invoices into the accounting system
    • Generate accounts payable checks and wires
    • Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies
    • File paid and unpaid invoices and statements
    • Process employee and independent contractor expense reports in accordance with company policy
    • Processing of all tax withholding payments
    • Process check requests, ensuring appropriate approvals have been received
    • Purchasing Card
    • Back-up support for other functions in the accounting area

Requirements:

  • 2 to 5 years work experience in Accounting Department of various sized companies
    • Accounting or business degree preferred
    • Experience with Concur Expense Reporting and Sage 100 systems a plus
    • Experience working with various foreign currencies preferred
    • Customer Service Oriented
    • Attention to Detail a must
    • Self-starter, ability to stay on task with limited supervision
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Microsoft Office proficient
