HR Employee Relations Specialist

Direct hire opportunity for an HR Employee Relations Specialist for a healthcare company located in Maitland, Florida. 

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: Salary, depending on experience 

Job Description:

  • Conducts research on assigned compliance topics and projects
  • Guides managers and employees through performance management and conflict resolution process
  • Investigates and resolves employee relations issues
  • Assists in the development and execution of corrective action and developmental action plans to address problems
  • Consults with Director of HR and legal counsel on highly complex or high risk issues
  • Diagnoses and identifies proactive steps to avoid recurring issues
  • Counsels and advises managers on the administration of specific employment laws including federal and state labor laws including but not limited to the FMLA and ADA
  • Assists managers with performance management issues
  • Provides various training to increase manager skills sets to enable manager to address issues such as a hostile work environment, and sexual harassment
  • Manage confidentiality of data
  • Serve as a member of the Human Resources Department and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  • Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Ethics and with the framework of the law.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  • Assume other related responsibilities as delegated and assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related business field preferred
  • PHR Certification or SHRMP-CP preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws such as FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc
  • Excellent knowledge of Human Resources processes and best practices including but not limited to performance management and compensation management
  • Ability to effectively interact with associates at all levels within the organization
  • Written/oral communication and presentation skills
  • Intermediate Windows-based skills including, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Internet Explorer, and Outlook
  • Resourceful, highly organized, and able to prioritize
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Capability to work under pressure
