Retirement Plan Service Associate

About the Company: Well-established and stable company in St. Petersburg is looking for a Retirement Plan Service Associate.  This is an excellent opportunity with an exceptional company. The ideal candidate will demonstrate solid problem solving and analytical skills in order to assess client issues and accurately provide resolutions.

Type: **There is potential for full-time conversion depending on the worker's attendance and performance.**

 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am -5:00 pm

Pay:Hourly depending on experience, around $15.00

Job Description

  • Answers and responds to phone and email inquiries regarding issues
  • Accurately diagnoses issues and provides client driven solutions that also meet IRS regulatory requirements Interprets rules and regulations by applying retirement plan knowledge
  • Processes financial transactions accurately
  • Conducts audits of account activity to ensure transactions meet regulatory compliance
  • Reviews client requests for corrections to determine proper course of action and provide guidance to branch personnel on resolution
  • Maintains knowledge of retirement plan rules and regulations by utilizing internal and external resources, as well as continuous training
  • Communicates, researches and resolves issues with other internal departments
  • Supports a continuous improvement environment by providing regular feedback to the leadership team on processes and procedures
  • Provides support as well as assists in on-the-job training of new associates
  • Reviews daily reports of individual productivity to evaluate personal performance
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications                               

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED completed
  • At least 2 years' experience working within a professional office environment
  • Data Reporting
  • Problem solving and analytical skills in order to assess client issues and accurately provide resolutions
  • Customer service experience in a call center setting
  • MS Office proficient- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Effectively communicates using proper grammar and punctuation written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including use of proper grammar and punctuation 
  • Technology adept including Browser and Computer savvy and the use of various office equipment  
  • Presents in a polite, polished, and professional manner upon dealing with customers and co-workers
