Customer Service Representative

About the Company: Well-established and stable company in St. Pete is looking for a Customer Service Representative. This is an excellent opportunity with an exceptional company. The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner.

Type: Contract to Hire 

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Job Description

  • This person takes about 80 - 90 phone calls a day and most calls only last a minute or 2 as they are mostly all the same type of calls.
  • The majority of the calls are Claim Adjusters calling for help to look up information or tracking on a claim.
  • Once in a while a policy holder will call with a quick question on payment, but the large majority of the calls are from the Adjusting team.
  • This person takes the incoming calls, looks up the information in their system, provides the information to the adjusters then documents the call into the notes section of the software. 

Requirements and Qualifications                               

  • 1+ years of Experience working in a customer service role providing support via phone
  • Strong phone etiquette and ability to navigate through customer calls professionally
  • MS Office proficient- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Effectively communicates using proper grammar and punctuation written, oral, non-verbal, and active listening skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including use of proper grammar and punctuation 
  • Technology adept including Browser and Computer savvy and the use of various office equipment  
  • Presents in a polite, polished, and professional manner upon dealing with customers and co-workers
